Sharp growth in 2000/2001
consolidated revenues: + 43.7%
Fourth-quarter revenues: + 43.3%

Paris, July 25 2001,

Sys-com, a consulting and IT services company specialising in financial services, announces a €34.2 million consolidated revenue for the 2000/2001 fiscal year ending June 30, i.e. 43.7% growth compared with the previous year.
The fourth quarter consolidated revenue was €9.3 million, representing 43.3% growth compared with the 1999/2000 fiscal year (+ 33.3% on a comparable consolidation basis).

Surpassing the revenue forecasts for 2000/2001

The growth of the high added value consulting activity (+75%) enabled Sys-com to surpass its revenue forecast, which was re-evaluated at the start of 2001 at €30.6 million.
The Engineering activity is up 28% despite a slowdown in this market that the Sys-com Group signalled as early as last April; this trend is linked to the responsiveness of contracting clients to the current situation.

2000/2001: a year for expanding the offer and strategic positioning

Sharp growth of the Consulting activity (+ 75%)

In the current slowdown, the caution of contracting clients in the field of engineering has been largely compensated by the added value provided by the consulting services, which have shown growth of 75%. The integration of the Strates offering, which includes consulting to the Sys-com Group General Management divisions.

Over the course of the year, Sys-com, in response to its commitments, has continued to develop its consulting services more than its engineering services.

Integration of 3D Harmony and the successful deployment of the Strates offering

During the last fiscal year, Sys-com was able to improve its offering thanks to the acquisition of 3D Harmony. This expansion has been accompanied by a logical structuring of the Group. Organising the offer by skills domain allows to respond more efficiently to customer requests.
Distribution of 3 complementary and distinct offer segments:

  • Strates (general management offering): 5%
  • Artes (operational management offering):37%
  • Omnes (information systems department (ISD) offering): 58%

Maintaining the broad market balance, with more sustained development of the insurance sector

  • banking: 44%
  • insurance: 41%
  • services: 15%

Major growth of staff levels despite staff turnover of 23%

In the fourth quarter, Sys-com recruited a large number of consultants specialised in the banking and insurance sectors, as well as young engineers for its engineering division. They received 6 to 12 weeks training. Their contribution to revenues will only be effective for the next fiscal year. The Group has significantly exceeded its recruitment objectives with 380 new employees (against the 310 forecast) by the end of the year to June 30, including 17 employees whose recruitment is linked to the acquisition of 3D Harmony.

Outlook
Despite the sharp growth in revenue, the high level of recruitment in the fourth quarter, not contributory to the year ending June 30, has an impact on the operating result (IASC standards) that should nonetheless be over 10%.

The net profit should be greater than forecast, in the region of €2.3 million.
